How much does it cost to use Built Open?
It's completely free to sign up to the platform, create your project and search for workers. Once you've found and placed your worker, we'll charge a small fee to cover the cost of using the platform – usually significantly cheaper than an agency fee.
What can I see on the worker's profile?
You'll be able to access all the information you need to have a good overview of a worker's skills and experience, including work history and references, training and certifications, key skills, location, and more.
How are workers vetted?
Priding ourselves on our commitment to quality, we've put in place a thorough onboarding process before approving tradesmen to work on the platform. Workers require a full reference, up-to-date training and an interview with the team before being matched to projects.
Additionally, our payment partners run an ID check before the worker is able to book a project, confirming that they are legally able to work.
Can I speak to the worker before booking them for a project?
If you have questions for a worker before confirming them for a project, you can easily get in touch with them via Built Open. Alternatively, contact a member of the team and we'll help you.
How does Built Open match my project to a worker?
Our algorithm scans the details of your project and shortlists the right workers for your requirements. You simply review the candidates, and choose the right person for your project.
If I book a worker through Built Open, will it comply with IR35 regulations?
Yes, the payroll for all of Built Open's workers is in alignment with the necessary IR35 regulations.
